TOKYO / THE OPEN TRAP BAR
Open frame.
More possibilities.
Step in. Lift. Keep moving. Tokyo opens up the trap bar for carries, lunges and the rest of your training—then goes right back on your rack.

01 / SPACE TO MOVE
Your next step.
Already built in.
An open side changes how you use a trap bar. Walk into position, move through a lunge, or carry the load forward without a closed frame surrounding your legs.
THE DESIGN AT WORK
One bar.
Three ways to use it.
Choose a movement to see the bar in a different role.
Stand inside.
Lift from the handles.
Set up for deadlifts, shrugs and loaded carries with the weight positioned around you.
Make room
for the pull.
The offset profile gives you another way to set up supported rows and pulling work.
Change the shape
of your session.
Bring Tokyo to squats and other cambered-bar movements when you want variety in your training.
SIDE BY SIDE
Open or closed.
See the difference.
The frame changes how you enter the bar and how much room you have around it.
| Detail | Closed hex bar | Tokyo open frame |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Step inside the enclosed frame | Enter through the open side |
| Walking movements | Possible, with clearance limited by the frame | Open-side clearance for carries and walking lunges |
| Other uses | Varies with handle and frame design | Trap-bar, seal-row and cambered-bar setups |
| Racking | Depends on the model | Designed to rack on standard power racks |
Closed trap bars can also be used for carries. The difference is the clearance and versatility offered by the open frame.
02 / READY FOR THE RACK
From the floor.
Back to the rack.
Tokyo combines its open shape with rackable dimensions and rotating Olympic sleeves. Load your usual 2-inch plates and build your session around the movements you want.
