MORE WAYS TO TRAIN
Adjust the length.
Change the exercise.
MAX’s adjustable straps open up more than pull-up variations.
Short for barbell work
Shorten MAX’s 0–15 inch straps for deadlifts, shrugs and carries when you want the handles close to the bar.
Longer for clearance
Lengthen the straps for tuck front-lever rows and other movements where extra clearance matters.
Suspension practice
Use an appropriate setup for push-ups and supported work when you want to practice controlling moving handles.
600+ lb tested
Kensui reports testing the handles and heavy-duty nylon straps to more than 600 lb. MAX uses birch plywood and cam buckles; PRO uses nylon fiberglass and fixed straps.
ATHLETE PERSPECTIVES
Basically the same as rings but with a smaller profile. I'm a fan of rotation for minimizing overuse and providing a unique stimulus within a single set. Everyone needs at least one non-fixed pullup variation.
ATHLETE PERSPECTIVES
I highly recommend it for any pullup aficionado. When doing pull-ups, it can be very helpful for the joints, makes the muscles activate more, and just feels more satisfying. The knurling is aggressive enough to feel secure, but not too aggressive.
