Most commercial plates ship with a ±5% tolerance — a "45 lb" plate can legally weigh anywhere from 42.75 to 47.25 lb. Kensui chrome plates hold ±20 grams: roughly 0.04% on a 45 lb plate, tight enough to track progressive overload and competition lifts to the gram. Mirror chrome resists corrosion and a standard 2″ hole fits any Olympic bar.
