The original name
Meet the Bulava.
Before “clace,” this shape had a name. The bulava (булава) is the Slavic short mace: a compact handle with the weight concentrated at one end. It was the symbol of authority carried by Cossack hetmans, and in Eastern European strongman circles it’s been swung for conditioning for generations. The EZ‑CLACE is a plate‑loadable bulava — dial the head weight instead of buying a new one every time you get stronger.
Leverage you can control
A full mace puts the head 100+ cm from your hands — great for advanced flow work, brutal on shoulders that aren’t ready, and impossible in most garages. The bulava shortens the lever so you get the same offset-load challenge with a margin of error you can live with.
More load than a club
Clubs are short and the weight is spread along the body, so the rotational demand caps out fast. A bulava concentrates the mass at the tip — every degree of rotation costs your core, grip, and rotator cuff something. Fewer reps, more stimulus.
